Why Todd Becker and who is Todd Becker?

The “why” is simple: I don’t want to be a politician, and I believe that ‘politician‘ should be a temporary stage in someone’s life, not a career. Serving the people should be the only concern, not keeping the job.

  ”Who“ you are is not simple. Each of us is unique and has only experienced our own life, but each of us is an American who wants liberty and justice for all. I am willing to vote against my personal interests if it’s what the majority of constituents decide. Who I am is a citizen who knows corruption must end, and the will of the people needs to be restored to power.

  As for my life- my father’s and mother’s families are from Missouri, but I was born in California where my dad was a nuclear engineer in the Navy, and then we lived in New Mexico, New York and Pennsylvania. We moved to Missouri in 1985 when I was in 4th grade.

 Throughout  school I considered moving for college, but having close contact with my family and community was more important to me after so much traveling in my childhood. Over 38 years here I worked in food service, construction and remodeling, taxis, transportation and shipping, and a number of jobs in other industries.

 My whole life changed after meeting my wife and starting a family, and after years of saving I was able to start a small mobile sawmill business. This made me notice difficulties I hadn’t experienced before, and I saw just how drastically our government needs to change for families, business owners, employees and everyone in between.

 That change starts with me, with you, and with each other coming together for our voices and ideas to matter.
